ROAD CROSSING

For a number of years we have been lobbying the Mayor to have a crossing put in between Bahia Blanca and the cliff top promenade.  At last it looks like it is going to happen. We have seen the plans which show a zebra crossing with traffic lights on the Puerto Rico side of the road junction. Hopefully this will be completed by autumn 2009.

FUNICULAR LIFT

We reported that the lift it its first 9 months, travelled 10,000 km’s (6000 miles)  Bahia Blanca to Central India. So for fun we have downloaded the computer system report again and was staggered to find that from when it was installed up until March 1st 2009 it has travelled 30,000 km’s (18000 miles)  We therefore have worked out that if you had been on board and it had been able to travel across the globe, you will have so far reached Denver – Colorado.

Wi-Fi Hotspot

For you techno phobes – Wi-Fi Hotspot is not Bahia Blanca’s new pole dancing club. For those in the know, you are now able to link to the internet from around the pool or in the café. The hotspot covers this area, so if you want your own internet access, please bring your laptop.
